I'm a self taught artist who loves being in the great outdoors. I walk every day and this is where the inspiration for most of my work comes from. Through my love of the countryside and walking, I see the landscape in blocks of colour and this is reflected in my paintings. My work is exhibited in galleries throughout the UK. A few of my favourite projects have been to paint a full wall mural for Elterwater hostel in the Lake District and to take part in the Go Herdwick trail, for which I painted a lifesize Herdwick Ewe and lamb for The Calvert Trust in the Lake District. I work from my studio in North Yorkshire and live with my husband, 2 children and border collie (Mist), who insists on bringing a ball to play with when I should be painting. My favourite place is the Lake District, Cumbria, so many of my paintings are from the summits of fells I've walked with my family.
