The artist specialises in wildlife drawings and paintings, seascapes and landscapes, using a variety of mediums; acrylics, colour pencils, graphite pencil, pen and ink, ballpoint pen, watercolour, pastel. Although many years ago, Mark attended art school and seemed to have an aptitude for art; especially still life, it was only a few years ago that he again took an interest in art, especially wildlife art. He has recently taken up art again, having changed careers due to illness. He works around his illness, and when his health permits, he enjoys continuing to develop his art. He is especially inspired by the natural world and design in nature. At this point, oils is the main medium of choice, also with mixed media as it seems to lend itself particularly well to the subject at hand. This may change in the future, but Mark will hopefully continue to create and learn as he goes along. Mark has tried to incorporate his love of wildlife in his work. We hope you like it as much as he enjoyed creating them.
