Lee McConville

For many years I was deeply involved in fashion, eventually designing and making clothes for my own shop. At one point I had seven outworkers. Then my four children came along and I carried on working from home for some years until a friend persuaded me to apply to an art course.
I was accepted on a two year part time Art and Design Course at Milton Keynes College where I gained a Diploma. It was particularly exciting to be invited to have a joint exhibition in the Atrium gallery some twelve years later.Most of my art is from my memory or imagination and has a darkly humorous side. Currently I am working in Acrylic, ink and collage.
