I’m Juliette Westbrook- Finch, Artist, Poet, born in the 60’s, child of the Universe. My new website has lots more Paintings with Poems: www.originalartdirect.org I paint using watercolors but not in the traditional way. I sometimes create texture so it looks like oil painting and /or I paint so that the paint is thicker and the colours are brighter and bolder although I sometimes paint in the traditional ‘wishy washy’ watercolour way! I use 300g 140lb Watercolour Daler Rowney paper or Crescent watercolour boards (medium, heavy or extra heavy) and professional quality paints; Windsor and Newton – high pigment and St. Petersburg White Nights watercolor tubes which contain gum Arabic and honey, they go on smoothly and the pigments are the highest quality. I also use a medium Viscosity paint as well which has good transparency and tinting strength (Royal and Langnickel) I find the combination of these 3 makes allows me to paint the way I like. When making prints of my original paintings I use a Canon flatbed printer and scanner and geniune Canon inks. I use either photo paper or 190g 90lb Bockingford watercolour paper for inkjet printing. Art with Options – You can choose the mount colour for any framed painting you purchase to suit your taste and decor. My website shows all options for each painting:www.originalartdirect.org (I can only show 1 photo here) Any of my Original Paintings can be made into A4 Prints so if you like a particular painting but want to buy it in a Print please use the contact form to message me and I will make one for you. Innovative Creations with poetic Citations – Each painting comes with a poem printed out on coloured card to compliment the colours in the painting. This can be framed and hung with your painting if you wish. Some of the poems are from my published poetry books “The Poetry of Passion (for people with a Pulse)” and ”The Poetry of Passion Part Two (for people like you),” which are available in the books section, they inspired the paintings and others were composed after the painting to explain what it’s about.
