Much of my work is influenced by the woodland, coastline, and landscapes I see on my daily walks. I draw inspiration from the natural world that surrounds me, and its contrast to the man made structures within it. Much of this interest is expressed through painting; however, I also enjoy working in paper, ceramics, and wire to create both large and small scale works. I love the vibrant colours of spring, summer, and autumn, and the more earthy tones of winter. There are many artists whose work I admire, but I especially love Paul Klee, Andy Goldsworthy, Chris Drury, Peter Randall-Page, Edward Hopper, and Patrick Heron.
