- Artist's description
This is an original oil on stretched canvas, sold unframed. The Giraffe is at its most vulnerable when it is drinking, from predators near the bank and under the water. This graceful animal is posed with the thorn trees forming a symmetry of lines, a triangular network throughout the composition.

- About David Snook
David was born and bred in and around the Tamar Valley on the border between Cornwall and Devon. He has been producing art since primary school, still trying to get his work on the wall. He has lived half his life in Southern Africa but has now returned to his native Cornwall. His works are designed around a limited palette with rich cadmium undertones, invigorating life into his canvases. The human form is essential to his work, keeping a freshness to his oils, transcribing an ordered sense from a loose background.
