Trees in Clumber Park.By Martin Snee

Clumber Park is a beautiful country estate in Nottinghamshire and it is one of my favourite places. The house was demolished decades ago, but the estate estate remains much as it was, with a lake, woodlands and parkland. This is a view across an open area between two woods, where the grass grows wild and long.
I used a loose and impressionist approach, using the acrylics like watercolour to capture the feel of the light on the leaves and the wind on the grass.
Acrylic on stretched canvas.

My love affair with art started a long time ago, way before I first picked up a brush in 1997. Visiting art galleries has always been one of my favour...
