The Moon Goddess And the SunBy Ian Bertram

In this piece, the central yellow panel is an acrylic wash on Fabriano watercolour paper. I originally intended it as the background for a linocut. The cutouts are from various monoprints. The image is about 25 cm by 20 cm (10″ x 8″) on paper about 38 cm x 28 cm.(15″ by 11″). The mount is 40 cm x 30 cm.
The title The Moon Goddess and the Sun, is also the title of a Science Fiction Novel by Donald Kingsbury – although in that case it is spelt Son.
