Painted in oils from photos taken at 9 am 26th August 2016 majestic balloons, including one sporting the Fortnum & Mason logo, floated over my home village. The sky was clear blue so I added clouds for texture and to create a sense of distance. I have been up in a hot air balloon, you feel akin to a bird, conscious of the elements and in limbo from the earth. The painting size is 24 x 18 x 0.5 inches.
