Sky larks Wanstead FlatsBy Yvette Rawson

This is part of the "Layers Collection" Inspired by walks on Wanstead Flats in East London. I was inspired to capture these rare little birds that sing so sweetly. I use fleeting glimpses and memories to paint atmosphere, hidden creatures and wildflowers that live in our natural environment. I paint with watercolour paint and pen & ink using loose gestural brush strokes, I build up from layers giving an ethereal impression.
