Painted after an early summer visit to my allotment, where lots of flowers compete with the vegetables. I sat down with my coffee and sketchbook and was surrounded by colour and scent. I couldn't wait to get back to my studio and start painting. This is painted in acrylic on a large stretched canvas (1m x 1m), unframed and ready to hang on your wall. I hope you agree it captures the serenity of the scene - a haven for wildlife.
