I’ve tried to capture the beauty and serenity of the amazing Luskentyre beach in Harris, Outer Hebrides. The white powdery sand and turquoise see stretch on for miles.... The painting is in oils on box canvas and presented unframed, and measuring 50 x 50 x 1.5 cm.

I have always had a passion for artistic pastimes, but it is since my retirement from the pharmaceutical industry in 2008 that I have seriously taken up painting. I am inspired by the beautiful landscapes of North Wales, where I grew up.
