- Artist's description
A colourful oil painting of two puffins. A contemporary artwork featuring these funny and popular sea birds. Oil on board. Painted on a bright white board which makes the paint more vibrant. Set against an action painted backdrop, the puffins are rendered in vigorous brushwork with the paint generously applied. I firstly paint wet in wet, then finish with a dry brush to create a variety of surface. The paint finish is rich and glossy as oil should be. Sent signed for postage and well packaged.

- About George Dow
Full time artist Dod Dow, lives and works in his home city of Aberdeen, Scotland. A graduate of Grays School of Art, his various subjects as a painter include portraiture, local landscape, townscape, castles, harbours and golf courses. Watercolour remains his favourite medium but he is also happy working in oil and acrylic. Dod would prefer to be known as a realist painter although his recent work has become more painterly and impressionistic in style. His eye for detail, however, has won him many commissions. His images have been reproduced in prints, postcards, Christmas cards and calendars, so his work is now familiar not only in Aberdeen but worldwide. See all of George Dow's work
