FlamingosBy Mark Pender

This is a little oil sketch of flamingos which I did after seeing them in Leipzig Zoo (2019). I was particularly attracted by the brightness of their feathers against the dark mud of the pond and strove for effect rather than picture-book realism.

The piece is on canvas and framed in a glossy white wooden frame so that the framed size is 30 x 37 cm.
