Oils on gessoed panel, measuring 12 x 9 inches (30 x 23cm approx). Unframed. The old harbour at Portishead, near Bristol, is now modernised with numerous new-build apartments. Some of them are unusual in appearance and this one, in the style of a lighthouse, features in this evening-time scene. Looking across over flowering shrubs towards the building, as the sun sets, leaving the sky a soft pinky-red.
