This is part of the "Layers Collection" Inspired by walks on Wanstead Flats in East London. I was motivated to paint to capture fleeting unconscious memories the atmosphere, hidden creatures and wildflowers that live in our natural environment. I paint with watercolour paint and pen & ink using loose gestural brush strokes, I build up from layers giving an ethereal impression.
